True Lover's Knot No. 2

$399.00
sold out

The association of knots with the symbolism of love, friendship and affection dates back to antiquity.

Miranda Kaye, my wife, inspired me to create this sculpture when she learned about true lovers’ knots.  She saw the connection between them and the compositions I was already making. Traditionally this symbol is created from two ropes or cords interlocking into a symmetrical knot.

There is no one true lovers knot, but many variations of how the arrangement is interwoven to create the knot symbolizing the connection between a couple in love.

Dimensions: H28” x W30” x D4”

Materials: Cotton Cord, Polycrylic, Walnut, Cherry, Ash, White Oak, Yellow Heart
